MTM is, at its core, about the people who work there. Without them, there would be no MTM Trucking and Logistics. In that spirit, the company takes time twice a year to recognize the accomplishments of MTM’s “family” members.
Top honoree was Marian Wood, MTM’s office manager and the glue that keeps the team together. Wood was named “2023 Employee of the Year,” given a plaque and flowers and lavished with well-deserved praise from fellow staffers.
In addition to Wood, Danny Timmons and Frank Konopka were recognized for 10 years with the company. Their “Decad-ication” was recognized with certificates.
“Each of these special employees helps make MTM what it is today,” said Vice President Taylor Santiago. “We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs in the past decade — and they all were right beside us as we navigated our way to where we are today.”
Speaking about Wood specifically, Santiago added: “Marian is one-of-a-kind. We are so lucky to have someone who just jumps in to do whatever needs to be done.”
Santiago refers to Wood as MTM’s “matriarch and backbone.” She said: “I am so happy to have an opportunity to show my appreciation for her years of dedication.”
