MTM Vice President Taylor Santiago was among the class of 2024 Rising Stars honored in early October at the Maritime Magic event along the Baltimore waterfront. The annual event raises funds for the Living Classrooms Foundation; the Rising Stars honor is presented by the Baltimore Business Journal in partnership with Living Classrooms.
Santiago, who raised more than $6,500 as part of her Rising Stars fundraising effort leading up to the event, said she is proud to be named a Rising Star and to have the opportunity to raise funds for such an impactful organization. “I’ve now seen up close some of the programs funded by Living Classrooms, and they are really remarkable,” Santiago said. “To be able to contribute my time and efforts toward this organization is really the biggest honor.
“I have never felt more moved by a program and felt so aligned with its mission and values,” Santiago said.
“Learning by doing creates such an incredible impact, not only with the success of gaining knowledge but also with a feeling of accomplishment for students. I am blessed for the opportunity to continue supporting!”
Rising Stars are named annually by Living Classrooms, and represent the next wave of Baltimore philanthropists and visionaries. All of the Rising Stars are under 40 years of age.
The event featured living music and food from Baltimore restaurants in a dazzling waterfront setting, all to raise awareness and funds for the programs sponsored by Living Classrooms.
